I am a native Angelino and whenever possible I love to share my passion for the City of the Angels and its wonderful diversity to visitors and newcomers.  I am a natural born foodie, architectural fan (both historic and contemporary landmarks), history buff and more.  Based upon my knowledge of Hollywood history and classic films, I was specially chosen by Turner Classic Movies and Starline Tours to serve as their exclusive tour guide for the famous TCM Movie Locations bus tour (a role I served for 1 1/2 years until taking a voluntary hiatus and still do upon special requests).

I currently work on a freelance basis as a TOUR DIRECTOR for various Southern California tour and transportation companies including Starline Tours, the Onward Group (which exclusively provides L.A. area tours for Princess Cruises), Lux Bus,  World of L.A. Tours (which provides L.A. area tours for other prominent cruise lines), Tour America and others.

In addition, since January 2022, I was elected to voluntarily serve President of the SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA TOUR GUIDE ASSOCIATION. From 2019 to 2021 I served as the organization’s vice president of programming and events which provided me the opportunity to meet local tour operators, local civic representatives, tourism officials and network with many local tour director cohorts.

For the Onward Group’s popular Beach Cities Tour for Princess Cruises, I created and periodically host a specialized 1 1/2 hour-long walking tour of Venice Beach including its famous Boardwalk, Muscle Beach, acclaimed murals and iconic canals. For the Sunoco Oil Company (through Starline Tours) I was asked to create a special 2 hour-long walking tour of Beverly Hills’ famed Golden Triangle area. In 2019, I was approached by the Strack Ground transportation company to help create new and more personalized specialty tours of both the downtown L.A. and the greater Hollywood areas for upscale clients that uniquely incorporate interesting and lesser known sites in addition to already popular tourist destinations.

Subject to my schedule, I am also now available for hire as a PRIVATE TOUR GUIDE on an hourly basis for individual tourist clients, tour groups, charter bus companies and destination management companies to conduct personalized and customized tours of L.A. as a whole or of specific neighborhoods based upon my guests’ particular areas of interest and the number of hours they have available. For example, my “L.A. Landmarks” coach bus tours have ranged from 3-12 hours including sites such as the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Dolby Theater, the Hollywood sign, TCL Chinese Theater forecourt, Griffith Park Observatory, Union Station, Olvera Street, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Bradbury Building, Grand Central Market, Angel’s Flight funicular railway, downtown L.A.’s historic Broadway Theater District, Staples Center, L.A. Live, Koreatown, La Brea Tar Pits, the Original Farmer’s Market, Santa Monica Pier and Venice Beach .

As of Summer 2022, in association with the Museum of Neon Art in Glendale, I am in the process of developing a historic “Glitter and Be Gay” (working title) LGBT history tour focused on Downtown L.A., Silverlake and Hollywood (that preceded the West Hollywood area). I also offer walking tours of Downtown Hollywood, Downtown L.A. and “Heart Of Screenland” Culver City including both historic and contemporary architecture as well as coffee or wine and snack stops.
